So, I've been sick for the last few days with a cold. You know, headache, chills, congestion, coughing, etc. Well, yesterday as I was driving the kids to school a coughing fit came over me. **disclaimer: this is kind of gross** O.K. it was the kind of coughing fit where the mucous is so thick that you can't inhale another breath. You know what I mean: The kind where you cough and feel the mucous like it is covering your windpipe and if you try to inhale any harder you know that glob is just going to shoot down into your lungs and probably kill you, right? Just me? Anyway, I realize that my body is in panic mode and I
can't breathe. So I pull over and as I do, I realize that I am going to throw up (part of panic mode, I guess), so I fling my door open and jump out. I get my business over with (ahem) and then I climb back into the car quickly because, well, we're going to be late. I look in my
rearview mirror to check if the way is clear and catch C's eye. Then I hear him say, (as if to reassure himself) "It's o.k. She's not pregnant again. She's just been sick. It's o.k." Now, right here is when my snotty nature comes out and I was
soooo tempted to say something like "Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now. We're having another baby!" and let him sweat it out until I picked him up from school that afternoon and tell him I was teasing him. It would have served him right, the little
moco. So to answer the question of the post title "Is it really that terrifying" The answer is YES!! (shudder)
